Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how TOBEWES LLC (“Licensor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use TheMove mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Application”).
By using the Application, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Application.
Scope & Who We Are
TOBEWES LLC is located at 400 Clementina Street, San Francisco, United States. This Policy applies to TheMove and any in-app features, including account creation, friend-matching, location features, media sharing, analytics, and push notifications.
Eligibility: The Application is intended for users who are 16 years of age or older.
Definitions
“Personal Data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. “Processing” means any operation performed on Personal Data (e.g., collection, use, disclosure, storage). Terms used but not defined here have the meanings given in applicable law (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Information We Collect
1. Account & Authentication
We collect information you provide when creating an account, including email address, phone number, and sign-in tokens from Apple Sign-In. We may also collect display name and profile image if you choose to provide them.
2. Contacts for Friend-Matching (Hashed)
With your permission, the Application may access your phone contacts to help you find friends. To protect privacy, we hash contact phone numbers (with salt) on the client and upload only the resulting hashes to our servers for matching. We do not upload or store raw phone numbers from your address book. We do not sell contact information. You can withdraw permission at any time in your device settings and may request deletion of uploaded hashes (see Your Rights and California Notice).
3. Location
Location functionality is optional. You may manually enter a city or, with your explicit consent, allow the Application to access GPS-based precise location to power location features. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings; certain features may not function without it.
4. User Content & Social Features
When you upload or share content (e.g., photos, videos, text, comments), we process that content and related metadata to provide the service and enforce our policies.
5. Usage, Diagnostics & Analytics
We use Firebase (including Firebase Analytics/Performance/Crash reports, as configured) to collect app usage data, device identifiers, crash logs, and performance metrics to improve stability and features.
6. Push Notifications
With your consent, we collect and use a device push token (e.g., APNs/FCM token) to send push notifications. You can opt out by changing notification settings on your device.
7. Automatically Collected Information
We may automatically collect technical information such as device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, and in-app activity events to secure and operate the Application.
How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Application and its features.
- Authenticate users and secure accounts.
- Enable social discovery and friend-matching using hashed contacts.
- Provide optional location-based features (manual city or GPS with consent).
- Send service-related communications and optional push notifications.
- Monitor performance, debug issues, and prevent abuse, fraud, or violations of our terms.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
No Ads: We do not use your Personal Data for personalized advertising.
Legal Bases (GDPR)
For users in the EEA/UK, our processing is based on:
- Contract Necessity: To provide and support the Application you request.
- Legitimate Interests: To secure, improve, and analyze the Application (balanced against your rights).
- Consent: For specific features such as GPS-based location, contacts access (hashed matching), and push notifications. You may withdraw consent at any time in device settings or by contacting us.
- Legal Obligation: To comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
Data Retention
We retain Personal Data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Criteria include account status, feature usage, legal requirements, and limitation periods. We endeavor to delete or anonymize data when it is no longer needed.
Security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect Personal Data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
Your Rights (GDPR/EEA/UK)
Subject to legal limits, you may have the right to: (i) access your Personal Data; (ii) request correction; (iii) request deletion; (iv) object to or restrict certain processing; (v) withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and (vi) data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise rights, contact us at tobennawes@gmail.com. We may request information to verify your identity and will respond within applicable timeframes.
California Notice (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to: (i) know categories and specific pieces of Personal Information we collect and disclose; (ii) request deletion; (iii) correct inaccuracies; and (iv) not be discriminated against for exercising rights.
Sale/Sharing: We do not sell Personal Information and we do not “share” Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by the CPRA.
Sensitive Personal Information: We process only to provide requested services or as permitted by law (e.g., precise location with consent). You may limit or withdraw permissions via device settings.
Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf subject to verification. Submit requests via tobennawes@gmail.com.
Children
The Application is intended for users aged 16 or older. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from individuals under 16. If we learn that we have collected Personal Data from an individual under 16, we will delete such information without delay.
International Transfers
We currently store and process Personal Data in the United States. If we later transfer Personal Data outside your jurisdiction, we will implement appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no common industry standard, the Application does not currently respond to such signals. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice in the Application. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
